Squidge and his friend started off by making up the jelly as shown on the packet. We used the strawberry cubes as they're his favourite. We then left it in the fridge for a couple of hours until it was almost set.
The recipe called for half a packet of marshmallows, which I guess varies depending on the packet, but we used half of a 200g bag of pink and white marshmallows. We put them in a pan with a couple of teaspoons of water and heated them on a low heat, with Squidge stirring all the time until they melted. We then poured them into the jelly and the boys stirred it all in, and put it back in the fridge to set overnight.
Squidge decorated it with chocolate buttons this morning...
...and we all tried some this morning. I confess I wasn't expecting to like this much but it was actually really nice :)
We noticed today how close we're getting to the end of the recipe book - only three more recipes to go! Next up is Mr Strong's Egg Flip, which uses raw eggs, so before we do that I'll be finding a way of making them safe!
